Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the team at Anaala by Ian Kittichai. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards at all times.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in keeping a high-standard environment and enjoy being part of a professional, fast-paced culinary team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, work surfaces, and storage areas.
  • Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of clean equipment and kitchenware.
  • Dispose of waste correctly and maintain organised waste management areas in line with hygiene standards.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and storing goods according to FIFO and food safety guidelines.
  • Support chefs with basic preparation tasks when required (e.g., peeling vegetables, moving stock, organising dry goods).
  • Ensure that cleaning schedules are adhered to and completed on time.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth daily operations.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff or management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset, though not essential.
  • Basic understanding of hygiene and food safety standards is preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and basic understanding of English.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a positive and cooperative approach.

Other Requirements

  • Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderately heavy items.
  • Comfortable working in a warm, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Working Conditions

  • Required to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring stamina, organisation, and teamwork.
