Job Summary
As a Bartender at Iniala Valletta, you will craft and serve a diverse range of beverages with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and elevated experience.
You will play a key role in delivering warm, professional, and knowledgeable service, contributing to Iniala's reputation for quality and atmosphere. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mixology skills, confidence behind the bar, and a genuine passion for hospitality excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and specialty non-alcoholic drinks, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Provide informed recommendations tailored to guest preferences, flavour profiles, and food pairings to enhance the dining experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques, garnishing, and presentation to ensure consistency in every serve.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the beverage menu and confidently communicate product knowledge to guests.
- Engage guests warmly and professionally, fostering a welcoming and refined bar atmosphere.
- Accurately take and process beverage orders, working closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area at all times in line with hygiene and operational standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements proactively to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system when required.
- Stay informed about new beverage trends, products, and techniques to continuously enhance the bar offering.
- Contribute ideas towards seasonal or innovative drink concepts in collaboration with management.
- Ensure strict adherence to recipes, measurement standards, cleanliness, and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with all team members to support smooth service operations.
- Carry out any other job-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end, upscale, or quality-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, classic cocktails, and modern mixology techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (additional languages are considered an asset).
- Genuine passion for guest service and hospitality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- High standards of professionalism and presentation.
