Job Summary
As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, organisation, and distribution of goods to the Group’s properties. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock control, supporting operational supply needs, and ensuring that all items are handled, documented, and dispatched in line with company standards.
Working closely with management and property teams, you will ensure timely processing of deliveries and requisitions while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience within a warehouse, stores, distribution, or hospitality environment and possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming deliveries from suppliers in a timely and organised manner.
- Inspect all goods for quantity, quality, and potential damage against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately sign for received goods and ensure all relevant documentation/ invoices are inputted and properly processed.
- Store all items in designated locations in an organised, safe, and accessible manner.
- Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when reorder points are reached.
- Label and tag all received items accurately, ensuring property-specific deliveries are identified and prepared for immediate dispatch where no part stocks are held.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders based on daily property requisitions.
- Ensure picked orders are complete, correctly labelled for their destination property, and prepared for loading.
- Assist in the safe and secure loading of orders onto delivery vehicles or property transport.
- Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch documentation for each outgoing order.
- Process outbound transfers through the relevant system for goods dispatched to properties.
- Conduct monthly stock counts and participate in full physical inventory audits as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and secure warehouse environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards where applicable.
- Provide cover for the delivery driver during vacation or sick leave as required.
- Carry out other job-related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, distribution, or similar environment; hotel experience is considered an advantage.
- Valid Maltese driving licence.
- Good level of English and Maltese (both written and spoken).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing manual handling duties, which may include lifting and use of a palletiser.
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet daily dispatch deadlines.
