Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting exquisite breakfast dishes that reflect our commitment to quality, taste, and presentation. Working under the guidance of our Head Chef, the Breakfast Chef will play a vital role in enhancing our guests' morning experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares a variety of gourmet breakfast dishes with precision and creativity, adhering to established recipes and culinary standards.
  • Collaborates closely with the culinary team to develop innovative and seasonal breakfast menus that showcase the finest ingredients.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of different cooking techniques, flavour profiles, and plating aesthetics.
  • Contributes to ensuring ingredient quality, checking deliveries to make sure that ingredients are fresh, quantities are correct, and that ingredients are properly stored and accessible. 
  • Upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety in the kitchen area.
  • Contributes ideas for menu improvements, dish enhancements, and overall culinary excellence.
  • Maintains accurate records of inventory, kitchen supplies, and ingredient usage.
  • Manages time efficiently to meet breakfast service demands in a fast-paced setting.
  • Stays informed about industry trends, emerging ingredients, and culinary techniques.
  • Carries out other job-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Breakfast Chef or similar role within upscale dining establishments.
  • Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a must.
  • In-depth knowledge of breakfast culinary techniques, ingredients, and food trends.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for presentation aesthetics.
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and adaptability.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly within a team. Fluency in the English language is required.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and consistently deliver exceptional results.
  • Strong commitment to upholding the restaurant's reputation for culinary excellence.
