We are seeking to recruit a Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team at our 2* Michelin-star restaurant ION Harbour. As a key member of the F&B team, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience for our guests, by being their first point of contact.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and record reservations through telephone and online portals, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Handle guest inquiries regarding seating availability, menus, and other restaurant-related questions promptly and professionally.
- Confirms guest reservations as per established procedures.
- Warmly welcomes guests and escorts them to their assigned tables.
- Monitor restaurant activity to manage seating arrangements and dining flows effectively.
- Coordinate and lead venue tours for potential function bookings, providing quotes based on guest requirements.
- Manages the coat service function of the restaurant.
- Provides assistance to the Front of House team with events operation.
- Prints out the daily menus and looks after the menu folders, function sheets and briefing material in an organised manner.
- Issue bills and handle cash closures at the end of shifts as needed.
- Support the Restaurant Manager and Front of House team during lunch and dinner services and other events.
- Takes the initiative to familiarise oneself with the menu options and keeps abreast of any planned changes.
- Performs other duties as required in keeping with the responsibility of the role.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a fine-dining establishment, will be considered an asset.
- Positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure.
- Charismatic, professional, and presentable.
- Superior customer service orientation.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
