We are seeking to recruit Butlers to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the person selected will seek to enhance our guests’ experience and provide them with a personalised service throughout their stay with us.
This position calls for a discrete and diplomatic individual with excellent communication and time management skills.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attends team briefings to go over the hotel’s operation of the day, including new requests of in-house guests, as well as for arriving guests.
- Meets and greet guests on arrival.
- Welcomes guests in a gracious and polite manner and maintains conversations with guests in a natural manner.
- On request, meets and greets guests at the airport, and assists with the departure of VIP’s.
- Ensures a fast and speedy response to all guests demands and enquires.
- Carries out the food and beverage delivery and service in guests’ suites. This includes setting up for private events such as lunches, dinners, and canapes parties.
- Prepares all equipment necessary for guests’ excursions.
- Carries out room inspections prior to guests’ arrival, and where required to carry out light duty cleaning tasks.
- Be aware of the hotel’s dining options and menu selections and communicate efficiently with the Head Butler and the Food and Beverage department regarding product availability.
- Be up to date with guest’s food preferences and any allergies they may have.
- Be aware of all SOP’s for the in-room check-in process, and where required have guests’ luggage delivered to the room.
- Carries out guests’ room orientation and the unpacking of their luggage. This includes pressing items and having any dirty laundry delivered to be serviced.
- Communicates with guests efficiently regarding their schedule of the day, and timings they wish to have their room serviced.
- Be up to date with guests’ preferences and requests, and liaise with other departments for laundry services, wake-up calls, spa bookings and any other special requests, supporting other departments for smooth day to day operation of the hotel.
- Carries out any other related duties and responsibilities as requested.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.
- Ability to communicate fluently in the English language. Other languages will be considered an asset.
- Maintains a positive attitude and the ability to remain composed in demanding situations.
- Well-presented, with excellent grooming standards.
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
