Overview

We are seeking to recruit Chef de Rangs to join the dynamic team at our Michelin-star restaurant, ION Harbour.  Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the person selected will be responsible for delivering an amazing food experience to our guests.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Delivers fantastic produce and outstanding restaurant cleanliness.  
  • Delivers outstanding customer service and exceed guest expectations.  
  • Greets guests upon arrival.  
  • Be confident and capable with tableside food preparation.  
  • Engages with customers in a polite and friendly manner.  
  • Takes customer’s orders, checking for any special dietary requirements and making the appropriate suggestions accordingly.  
  • Adheres to timing standards for products and services.  
  • Seeks ways to consolidate service and increase table turns.  
  • Applies positive suggestive sales approach to guide guests.  
  • Ensures guests are satisfied with their meals and process orders for additional orders if necessary.  
  • Remains calm and alert, especially during high levels of restaurant activity.  
  • Seeks ways to avoid waste and limit cost.  
  • Assists in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas.  
  • Provides responsible service of alcoholic beverages.  
  • Follow sall cash handling policies and procedures.  
  • Interacts positively with customers promoting the hotel’s facilities and services.  
  • Answers the restaurant telephone in a clear voice, coordinate and document reservations.  
  • Ensures that breakage and loss of the restaurant’s equipment is kept to a minimum.  
  • Attends any necessary training courses (i.e. food handling and health and safety).  
  • Completes other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or hotel senior management.  

Requirements

  • Have previous experience working in a Michelin/fine dining establishment.
  • Strong knowledge on food and beverage. 
  • Be charismatic, professional and presentable. 
  • Confident in serving food and beverage. 
  • Superior customer service skills.   
  • Fluency in the English Language. 
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Excellent time management skills.   
  • Team player.   
  • Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
